Raser Technologies has created a Hummer H3 that can potentially get over 100 miles per gallon. The vehicle is a plug-in hybrid that travels its first 40 miles without using the combustion engine. Depending on the miles driven per day it can get the following millage:

If these kind of results are possible out of a Hummer H3, why aren't we seeing more of this? I would imagine even better MPG would come out of smaller vehicles with this technology. Click the link (http://www.rasertech.com/media/videos/the-electric-h3) to read more.

Imagine what they could do with a vehicle that weighs 1/2 as much? Did you see the electric 3 wheeler that was on display at ellie's in Boulder on 4/29? It was a two -seater with solar panels on the roof. It was totally electric and can charge up to 80% of capacity in 3 hours. Can't remember the name of the vehicle or Boulder area company. It sells for about $10,000. With only 1 wheel in the front, I imagine it is not recommended for travel on snow/ice...
