Building insulation comes in many forms and capabilities, it is important to use the appropriate material for each application. There are many resources to help you identify the appropriate insulation material for your building, these include government sources such as the Environmental Protection Agency: www.epa.gov and private sources such as Building Green: www.buildinggreen.com.
